Just started running in February, walking actually, and working my way up to a half marathon in November. I have been battling an injury and it's taking it's toll mentally. I keep running, not quite as much as my training program has scheduled, but I'm running. It is such a mental game I have to play to get my running shoes on! Today is speed day, 5 miles. I am 12 weeks awa...I needed to hear this as well!! I am 12 weeks away from doing the NYC marathon. This is my first big race without my husband or a friend to run with and I am struggling with it. But i have to change my thought procees for sure! This is my 3rd marathon but I want this one to be my fastest. That's the other part I struggle with is competing against myself!
