YMX by Yellowman Running Shirt Review & Giveaway

So many running apparel items look the same. The designs start to run together. YMX by Yellowman deviates from the norm and brings us some colorful, playful patterns that are lightweight and performance material.

I already own a couple of Yellowman things, like the one pictured here (purchased through the Athleta site – they sell several Yellowman items):

P1090744

Jersey with arm warmers

YMX by Yellowman sent me a running shirt with arm warmers to review. It is the Tribal Sea Running Tee.

Without warmers:

P1100742

With arm warmers:

P1100743

I wore this shirt on a very early morning that started out cool (58 degrees) and climbed up in temps by the end. I wore the arm warmers for about half of the workout, then just tucked them into the pocket in the back of the shirt when it got hot.

Material/Performance: Very lightweight, comfortable and silky fabric. 88% Polyester 12% Spandex. The fabric is Madkool – a patented product that is supposed to help regulate your body temperature and provides 30+ SPF.  Lighter than typical running shirts, the fabric is thin, in a good way. It wicks the sweat just like a typical performance shirt, but I’ve never had a shirt with such thin and silky fabric.

The arm warmers are the same material as the shirt. While they provide some protection from the wind, they would not give you much protection from cold temps.

Design: Funky, unique, attention-getting. Arrow of paradise.

Price: $69.99 for shirt and an additional $32 for the arm warmers. Ouch. Great quality shirt, but this is steep for a running shirt and I don’t know many people who spend over $50 on a running shirt (but I could be wrong). As for the arm warmers, such a fun addition to the shirt, but with how thin they are, I personally do not think they are worth the price.

Overall: Very comfortable performance running shirt with a splash of style! While the thinness of the fabric is perfect for the summer months, it will likely not provide much warmth as it gets cooler. Would be a great layering piece, however.

  1. Personally I find performance to be my top prioroity. I hate buying a running top only to find that it rides up while running or makes me sweat more than I need to and feel uncomfortable.

    ReplyDelete
  2. I really like the blossoms and butterflies long sleeve top. I don't like the price tag, though :(

    ReplyDelete
  3. I like the Tree of Life tank but...ouch...the price....

    ReplyDelete
  4. And I really need performance. No matter how pretty a running shirt is, I won't wear it if it rides up, binds at my arms or misbehaves.

    ReplyDelete
  5. I really like the shirt you have, pink or blue. I like the removable arms, seriously, what an awesome idea. The price IS a bit high, but I would pay it if it fit well.

I go for breathability. I really hate it when my clothes think it's funny to lock me in a sauna while I'm working out. And if there is a "made in the USA" option, I will save up and buy that (it's always really expensive that way, but it is nice to feel patriotic).

  6. I think these shirts might be too mad cool for me, but I do like the Tree of Life tank in ivory.

Fit is the top priority for me. I hate loose, baggy running tops but I don't want super tight spandex either. "Semi-fitted" = happy medium.

  7. I look for items that fit well, and are flattering to the athletic build. I sometimes have trouble with running tops because as a former gymnast turned triathlete, I have these huge shoulders and no waist or hips, so a lot of shirts are tight in the shoulders and then baggy through the waist. I like my clothes to be slightly snug, so it doesn't move around, but not so tight that it chaffs. I love summer b/c I can just wear a tank or sports bra and not have to deal with sleeves or shoulders being too small.

    ReplyDelete
  8. I like the Henna flower tank. I keep trying to win something from them. love the look but not the price :D

    ReplyDelete
  9. For me it's fit. I can't have anything to tight in my big areas. No sleeves. Racerback. Ok maybe I'm picky

    ReplyDelete
  10. Wow, in addendum, it looks like that Tribal Sea running tee is $69 for the shirt, and another $32 for the arms. Wow.

    ReplyDelete
  11. I like the wild designs and bright colors, hate the price. It is hard for me to justify spending top dollar to 'pit' out an expensive piece of running gear or end up with make-up smeared on the shoulders!(I sweat horribly and I tend to wipe my face on my sleeves.)

Performance is a priority, I tend to chafe in weird places.

    ReplyDelete
  12. my top priority is price, then performance, then design. I know you get what you pay for, so I always look out for deals on quality running clothes!

    ReplyDelete
  13. Looking at the site I really love the koi hoodie since I'm obsessed with those fish!

    ReplyDelete
  14. The most important factor for me is probably price, but I'm not going to buy it simply because it's on sale. With two "kits" I have to wear I normally don't have to think about my running tops. When I do buy something it just has to scream "Julie".

    ReplyDelete
  15. Green Tree of life one is nice. Body art without the pain and price kinda cool.

    ReplyDelete
  16. Definitely love the unique designs! Fit is critical -- it has to be just the right length and cut. I might be overly picky on this, but it leads me to buy only about 2 brands of apparel. As for the Yellowman designs, I also love the Tribal Sea!

    ReplyDelete
  17. Sent it out on FB, which will also drop into my Twitter

    ReplyDelete
  18. Most important to me is the fit- Not short, not too tight and it has to cool me down. This momma is a sweater. Even in the winter. So it needs to breathe. I hate the super unforgiving suck in your breath tops and I also hate the ones that only come to my belly button.Lame.

    ReplyDelete
  19. Love your site. Performance is key for me...then price. $50 is quite over my budget unfortunately...I would have to find it on sale.

    ReplyDelete
  20. I really like the colors of the Henna Flower tank, green is a fav color of mine!

    ReplyDelete
  21. I can't stand running in a top that rides up. It has to stay put or I go crazy on it!

    ReplyDelete
  22. I like the Icy Persian Henna Quarter Zip Top! :)

    ReplyDelete
  23. The most important thing about running apparel is performance but who doesn't look to look and feel good about what they are wearing. I love the YMX line, loved the Chakra hoodie.

    ReplyDelete
  24. Price and performance are my top... I always am looking for a deal! :-D

    ReplyDelete
  25. The thing I care most about is fit. If it doesn't fit me well nothing else is going to really matter to me at that point. I have to be comfortable in what I'm wearing.

    ReplyDelete
  26. I absolutely love the Henna Blossom turtleneck, but honestly, I wouldn't spend $100 on a shirt for work, I am definitely not going to get one to stank up with my pit juice. But, lovely.

    ReplyDelete
  27. There colors are amazing! I'll be super visible on the road!

    ReplyDelete
  28. For me - it's all about performance - no bunching, chafing or lack of wicking please!

    ReplyDelete
  29. I wish I could say that I looked at performance or style first, but really, price is my biggest considerations. I wish that inexpensive running gear for women was more colorful. I have just started to see some real color and pattern find its way into the Target Champion line, which I like OK. Up until recently, it has been all black bottoms and some solid shirts, maybe in pink if folks are feeling wild.

    ReplyDelete
  30. Maori-Pink Flambe I like this one...I need moisture wicking!!

    ReplyDelete
  31. I LOVE all those designs, but can't enter GGGGRRRRRRR
Now if they could ship to the UK I'd be happy :-)

    ReplyDelete
  32. I like the Pink Flambe shirt!

    ReplyDelete
  33. Love the unique designs. Not likely that anyone will have the same shirt as you during a race (which happened to me at my first tri this weekend!).

    ReplyDelete
  34. Price and fit are the two most important things for me - it has to fit right but I don't want to pay a fortune! Clearance racks are usually my best friends!

    ReplyDelete
  35. I like the Maori Spiral Sleeveless Cycling Jersey on the YMX site. I just got a similar one on a super sale - $47 and love it.

    ReplyDelete
  36. There is too many great things to pick just one!

    ReplyDelete
  37. Featured on blog and will talk about it more in weekly blog entry. btw I care about price and comfort

    ReplyDelete
  38. My priorities are price, fabric, and fit.

    ReplyDelete
  39. I would have to say style and performance matter to me.

    ReplyDelete
  40. I love the designs. I have paid $60+ for tri shirts so the bike shirt does not seem that crazy.

Would love to have one -but won't need arm warmers for long down here in Louisiana

    ReplyDelete
  41. I like the peony swirl long-sleeved top!

    ReplyDelete
  42. Style and comfort are most important -- I choose by what makes me feel good and will make me want to put it on and run!

    ReplyDelete
  43. I love the bright colors! As a grad student, price is definitely my first priority! I have a few select favorites, and I will search Ebay like crazy to find them at a good price.

    ReplyDelete
  44. Wow, I've seen their stuff on the Athleta site, but never checked out their site before... BEAUTIFUL stuff!
I'll pay a smidge more for something that is truly functional and well-performing, and it definitely helps if it looks good, too!
I'm digging the long-sleeved Henna Spiral Sun and Maori Pink Flambe.. FIERCE! .. and the short sleeves w/ optional arm sleeves. Man, that's a lot to choose from!

    ReplyDelete
  45. I am in love with the Maori II Long Sleeve Turtleneck. Perfect for fall cycling.

    ReplyDelete
  46. I love the Peony Swirl Long-sleeve shirt! Very cool! It looks like it would fit well, too. When I shop for running clothes I need the shirt to 1) fit comfortably, can't perform if you can't move! 2) WICKING! WICKING! WICKING! I'm a sweater...I hate that "wet" feeling! LOVE when a performance shirt does what it's supposed to do! and 3) Price matters! I can't spend $80 on a performance shirt! Most runs don't even cost that!lol If it's a good quality shirt for a good price, I could own a few of them but anything over $40-$50...I can only own one of them! Sharing this blog on my fb wall now!

    ReplyDelete
  47. i look for performance and price in running clothes...i wish i could buy whatever i want, but my budget doesn't allow that so i have to be more flexible than i'd like. but i do look for quality and performance because if it's inexpensive but not worthwhile, it's not worth it!

    ReplyDelete
  48. Being a poor, broke recent college graduate, price is my priority when looking at running clothes.

    ReplyDelete
  49. I really like the Henna Bloom and Blossoms and Butterflies. I think the Tribal Sea looks like an arrow pointing to your lady business. Since mine usually gets all sweaty while I run, it's definitely not the kind of attention I want to draw!

    ReplyDelete
  50. When buying, I think about what I need and then try to find the best version of that on sale. I'm cheap, but I like quality (and see the importance in it), so I usually end up shopping around. I would never spend as much as YMX is charging for a shirt!

    ReplyDelete
  51. I LOVE the Maori Flambe long-sleeved tee...makes me think I could put all those runners who pass me in a trance!

    ReplyDelete
  52. I love the Tribal Sea running top, and love the Tribal Sea tank too! The Henna Flowers tank runs a close second. Great designs!

    ReplyDelete
  53. Oh--and it has to fit well AND get the sweat OFF me! I love to sweat, I just don't want to feel it for miles and miles!

    ReplyDelete
  54. Honestly, I'm a cheapie so price is the first thing I notice. Performance matters most to me, so I am willing to pay more for a good fit, breathability, etc, but there is a limit for me. In a perfect world design/performance would be the only thing that mattered!

    ReplyDelete
  55. I looked at their website and like the Sea of Life ivory tank.
When choosing running apparel, my top priority is performance, next I look for a cool or different design, something that you don't see on every other woman at an event.

    ReplyDelete
  56. Price is the most important for me when buying a running shirt...

    ReplyDelete
  57. I love the YMX Maori Dragon Sleeveless Cycling Jersey. Beautiful!

    ReplyDelete
  58. ohhh yay for giveaways:
    1. love the Tribal Sea Running shirt in teal.
    2. top priority for me and running - tops-do they hide my nips? cause i nip really hard all the time. shorts-they better be short and comfy.

    ReplyDelete
  59. I like the Maori Pink Flambe shirt. I have seen Yellowman stuff before and it's super gorgeous...I would love to own some but the price is just a bit too steep!

    ReplyDelete
  60. And while I'd like to say that performance is my top priority, sometimes it does come down to price. My favorite running clothes offer both...performance AND a price that doesn't make me need to cut back on race entries!!

    ReplyDelete
  61. is it fair to say i want it all? reasonable price, great design & fit, great performance...!

    ReplyDelete
  62. and i like the tribal sea running t's!

    ReplyDelete
  63. I like any of the shirts in pink! The designs and colors are great! So striking. As much as I hate to admit this, I shop based on price first. I wish I had an unlimited running clothes budget, but with seven kids, I am lucky to get anything for myself at all. The prices of the YMX clothes really give me pause, I can't imagine being able to afford something like that. I'd have to wear it everyday for a year to justify it. :(

    ReplyDelete
  64. Checked out the website, and I really like the Henna flowers tank. The tank is $58 too though--what?

    ReplyDelete
  65. As you can tell from my last comment, price is a big factor for me. The performance. Style is way down on the list!

    ReplyDelete
  66. Right now I just look for v-neck shirts for running - hate when the collar of a shirt feels like it's choking me!!

    ReplyDelete
  67. SO cool! Those prints look like awesome workout motivators!

I would love to try out the tribal sea running arm warmers in pink with a shirt to match!

    ReplyDelete
  68. I can't enter but I will leave a sassy comment to amuse you. Why are you doing business with a company that can't deal with Canadians? Or, you noted that the arm warmers weren't good for staying warm, and as you know, for much of the year that is a primary concern here.

In other news you talked of major chafing in a sensitive area after a race. I should thank you, I suppose, for not sharing a photo. But I'm sure your readers want to know, are you still walking bowlegged? Have things healed up to allow the renewal of normal activities?

I am talking running, biking, swimming, you perverts. What were you thinking?

    ReplyDelete
  69. What is most important to me when shopping for a running top is first the material quality, then the price, then the style fit for me, then the functional fit for working out

    ReplyDelete
  70. I think performance + price are most important. If it costs too much I won't buy it lol..

    ReplyDelete
  71. I gave this a Tweet shoutout (@nello33)

    ReplyDelete
  72. Love that Tribal Sea Tee...but ouch the price tag!

    ReplyDelete
  73. I love the vibrancy of the patterns and the slogan on the women's home page made me chuckle - FUNCTIONAL, STYLISH APPAREL THAT CELEBRATES YOUR CURVES - because I may be functional, but I lack in style and am about as flat as a board with no butt.

    ReplyDelete
  74. Performance combined with price I think are most important!

    ReplyDelete
  75. Performance is mist important to me. But if it performs and looks great, I'll spend $$$.

    ReplyDelete
  76. Id love the winged heart cycling jersey as I'm riding a lot and have nothing for cooler weather

    ReplyDelete
  77. When buying performance gear, especially shirts, I look for tech material that does not ride up. I wear a Camelback and there is nothing worse than getting "bag burns" on your back from your shirt riding up.

    ReplyDelete
  78. My top priority is definitely comfort. NON-CHAFING and no riding up!!! Longer runs definitely weed out the crap from the awesome...or something like that. And then style, of course.

    ReplyDelete
  79. Can I say I like everything? If I had to pick one thing, it would be the henna tank.

    ReplyDelete
  80. I checked out the website - pretty sweet! I'm diggin' the Tree of Life and Samurai tops.

    ReplyDelete
  81. I try to balance quality with price when I'm shopping for athletic gear. I do what I can to buy stuff on sale and get better items. I'm lucky not to have chafing problems so I don't worry with that.

    ReplyDelete
  82. I like the pattern and color of the Maori-Pink Flambe long sleeve shirt. It looks like something I would wear when I am not running.

    ReplyDelete
  83. Top priority for running apparel is the price. I wear workout clothes to workout AND to work, for the sweat wicking properties, so I need something good quality, at a good price. I usually get things from the Reebok outlet store. Sometimes running/workout shirts are $4!

    ReplyDelete
  84. I love the Tribal Peony cycling jersey! Very cute :)

    ReplyDelete
  85. I usually choose my running gear based on performance and comfort! If they have a cool design that's a bonus! Awesome giveaway. !

    ReplyDelete
  86. I like the Henna Bloom long sleeve top, but out of my budget......

    ReplyDelete
  87. I look for comfort & performance first, then looks and price.

    ReplyDelete
  88. I like the designs. I wish there were more choices though.

The issue, for me, like many others, is performance and comfort. I want clothing that is fitted but not unflattering. I find many shirts to be unflattering, as I do not have the perfectly hard body, or boxy, which can feel awkward with a running belt or bunch under a Camelbak.

    ReplyDelete
  89. I have to say I love your design the best.. Tribal sea! Love the removable arm warmers!!

    ReplyDelete
  90. I like the blossoms and butterfly long sleeve...but it's a little pricy for me.

    ReplyDelete
  91. I will only buy tech/performance gear. I look for seams that won't chafe, cuteness, versatile color, and a sale. I'm cheap.

    ReplyDelete
  92. Comfort and fit and performance are the top 3. But due to budgetary constraints, I don't even look at stuff like Yellowman. But…now that I've looked :P … I like the Koi Hoodie and lots of other items :)

    ReplyDelete
  93. Ooops…lumped two entries into one comment…so count this for my second :)

    ReplyDelete
  94. The tribal peony black cycling jersey is super cute...but you're right. Ouch on the price!

    ReplyDelete
  95. Bottom line is price and performance. Some of the stuff I own is super ugly but it works and it didn't cost me a fortune, so I use it. If I can find something that looks cute too, that's just an added bonus!

    ReplyDelete
  96. i love shirts that don't ride up, wicking is good...and they have to look good!

    ReplyDelete
  97. I like the Maori boloro. I'd even wear it at non-athletic things.

    ReplyDelete
  98. I shop for comfort and price. Most of my best buys have been from race expos and out-of-season gear.

    ReplyDelete
  99. Checked out the site and I like the shirt/arm warmers you have on the best!

    ReplyDelete
  100. I like the koi performance leggings

    ReplyDelete
  101. And for me, one criteria: must be low-rise so the waist band doesn't cut into my tummy and make me have to GO!

    ReplyDelete
  102. Loving the Tree of Life tank in Green. Also, the arm warmers would add some serious spice to any running outfit!

    ReplyDelete
  103. If I weren't such a tightwad, I would say fit would be my top priority, but alas, I always seek out the "deals". It's incredible the bargains you can find on past season gear.

    ReplyDelete
  104. Most important in running apparel is performance(no chafing, doesn't ride up, etc). Second is appearance. I like cute stuff. I guess what would be most important if it existed was a way to make my nursed 5 baby AA boobies to appear as my engorged D bosoms. If I found a running top like that I wouldn't care what cost, color or brand. I would buy 10 of them.

    ReplyDelete
  105. Most important thing for me when buying gear is the quality of the materials. Not too thick and wicks well

    ReplyDelete
  106. Most important thing for me when buying gear is the quality of the materials. Not too thick and wicks well

    ReplyDelete
  107. I'd go with the blossoms and butterflies long sleeve. Pretty and feminine, but not pink (which I don't wear well).

    ReplyDelete
  108. My top priority is fit, followed closely by whether or not a piece has pockets, then followed by price. And whatever I'm buying needs to have 2 out of 3 to come home with me.

    ReplyDelete
  109. Function is top priority but am a sucker for something that looks good and will splurge for quality!

    ReplyDelete
  110. Top priority when shopping for running apparel - fit, color, and price. Brand favorites right now are: Craft for shorts and tights, Asics for shorts and shirts, Isis for bras, and Alo for shirts.

    ReplyDelete
  111. Fit and function are key! Also, LOVE the arm warmers! :-)

    ReplyDelete
  112. I like the pink tribal tee w/arm warmers.

    ReplyDelete
  113. I like a light weight performance tee that doesnt ride up. I love the arm warmers since its too hot here in So Cal to wear a long sleeve for an entire long run

    ReplyDelete
  114. Performance and price run neck to neck for me.

    ReplyDelete
  115. I love freaking everything on the site!! I just wasted about 20 minutes oogeling the goods! ha

    ReplyDelete
  116. Love running clothes!!! Love it. I think I do like something that looks a bit different than the 'main stream' Not tooo pricey. I find myself always migrating to fitness clothes first in stores.

    ReplyDelete
  117. I liked YellowMan on facebook.

    ReplyDelete
  118. Top priority for me is price, followed by fit/performance/style, depending on what I'm looking for at any given time. I do think quality > price, so I buy things on sale when possible.

    ReplyDelete
  119. I like the Henna Bloom II design on the YMX website.

    ReplyDelete
  120. I checked out the website and I really liked 2 items, for summer Tree of Life tank and for cooler temps Henna Spiral Sun tee.

The most important aspect of performance wear is that I don't want to feel it, I don't want to tug at it or adjust it or be bothered by it.

I shared the link on FB but as usual did not follow directions.

    ReplyDelete
  121. I liked the yoga shorts and the henna pink leggings.

For my clothes, performance is super important. especially living in the south, it gets hot, it needs to be able to breath with me.

    ReplyDelete
  122. Ooh, the Henna Flower tank is way cute. I have been able to pick up a YMX top on Athleta when it was sale. Fits my budget a bit better.

    ReplyDelete
  123. For me the price point often trumps the style, but it needs to work so performance is king. If you are excited to wear it, you will use it.

    ReplyDelete
  124. Love the Koi hoodie....

I usually shop by price... which is seriously unfortunate.

    ReplyDelete
  125. I like the Air Raglan tee but the Biomech cycling jersey looks sweet.

    ReplyDelete
  126. Sometimes I hate it but price has to be number one for me most of the time. :(

    ReplyDelete
  127. I like the tribal Sea in Pink!

    ReplyDelete
  128. I have to be honest. My top priority is to make me look thin! And the price. Yes, I am a cheapie.

    ReplyDelete
  129. I love the peony long-sleeved shirt. Comfort and fashion are high priority. As a mom of three boys, I find myself always "on the run", and more often than not, wearing running/workout attire. Price is always an issue, but if it is well-made, it will last. Therefore, I'm willing to spend a bit more if it is well made, comfortable and cute.

    ReplyDelete
  130. I like the Maori-Pink Flambe Long Sleeve Shirt, but unfortunatly for them, I won't pay $88 for a running shirt.

What I look for in performance gear is 1)looks, 2)fit- I'm 5'9", so long sleeves are always iffy, 3)versatility (i.e. running, biking, hiking, wearing around), 4)performance, 5)cost.

    ReplyDelete
  131. It's a fine line between price and performance. I'm not working so can't afford a large price tag, but if the item is going to cause issues I can't use it anyway.

    ReplyDelete
  132. The YMX are a bit busier than I normally prefer, but I do like Bolero jacket and the tree of life shirt.

    ReplyDelete
  133. I've put this giveaway on my blog sidebar

    ReplyDelete
  134. Tweeted about your giveaway @shebajc

    ReplyDelete
  135. I really like the Koi Hoodie, but yea wowza the prices are definitely out of my range :(

    ReplyDelete
  136. For me, price and performance are key! I am a sale shopper for sure

    ReplyDelete
  137. I tweeted about the giveaway @colleenpitmon

    ReplyDelete
  138. Ooooh love the Henna Dragons tank, would be great in this Florida heat, but yes they are pricey.

    ReplyDelete
  139. Price is really my main thing with running shirts, especially as they get so stinky after a while, no matter how often they get washed, so I just have to toss them. But they definitely need to be performance and as lightweight as possible as it's so stinking hot here!

    ReplyDelete
  140. i like the Blossoms and Butterflies Long Sleeve Shirt
    runner_girl5k(at)yahoo(dot)com

    ReplyDelete
  141. Price is definitely my top concern when shopping for running clothes...I'm sure there are many awesome shirts that would feel great to run in, but if they're outta my price range, then it won't matter how great they fit...
    runner_girl5k(at)yahoo(dot)com

    ReplyDelete
  142. I have to admit I am super thrifty (read: CHEAP) so price usually takes the forefront on running apparel. I'd rather have piles and piles of affordable gear than a few high-end items.

    ReplyDelete
  143. The Blossoms and Butterflies Long Sleeve Shirt is totally different then anything else I own, so that would be fun.

    ReplyDelete
  144. This comment has been removed by the author.

    ReplyDelete
  145. I am big on performance with my running gear, but usually the style catches my eye before I notice how great it is performance wise. But, I will usually try any brand or style depending on if someone else really loved it enough to tell me about it.

    ReplyDelete
  146. I like the Maori Long sleeve top- the light weight would be perfect for the winter runs here in Las Vegas. Anything too thick ends up too hot.

I love your clever reference to the arrow on that shirt pointing to your crotch! I've grown to love your humor. :)

    ReplyDelete
  147. I am a FAN of that Chakra hoodie!

  148. For me, it's price. I'd rather put my money toward good shoes and entry fees. So I buy what I can on clearance...it works!

  149. I kind of waver between spending on quality and making do until decency demands I toss it. A good bra is a must. I'll happily lay out more money for something multipurpose, like a running skirt I can also wear to work or a single really awesome pair of compression socks that don't go up to my hips. I wish compression socks came in "petite". Most of my running shirts are either old, holey/stained tees or "free" race shirts. Tops I won't be broken up over if I ruin them. I guess if I'm buying, not making me a sodden, sweaty, chafed mess is high on the list. Flattering is a definite plus.

Mind, some of my shorts probably also date back to either high school or junior high. For perspective, here, I'm 34. I finally retired a baggy denim pair earlier this summer because they pretty much disintegrated into disconnected threads.

  150. I think I like the Blossoms and Butterflies shirt, very pretty!

  151. I'm kind a cheap when it comes to buying things..I love my Nike Tempo shorts and whatever cheapie top I can throw on.

  152. Oh man I LOVE the shirt you are wearing in the first pic with the wings.. but they dont have it on the site or the Athleta site either that I saw. Boo.. I would have spent money cuz I like the look.

Usually for me it is performance and price.

  153. I really like the semi-turtle necks that they have on the ski tops. I board, not ski...but you get the point. Those necks would come in super handy when boarding!

  154. I'm usually half broke so price is a huge thing when buying running stuff...but then value comes into play too so sometimes I'll throw a lot of money at one super awesome item.

  155. Love the pink flambé shirt!! I've been looking for arm warmers since I'm running the Denver rock n roll half and I'm afraid if I wear a long sleeve shirt Ill get too hot. I'm still trying to figure out this Colorado weather these last few months since I moved from the east coast.

  156. comments 179 I try not to buy anything for running. I enter the right races and get given things. Any one of those long sleeve tops would be nice, and I would win it for my brother...

  157. My top priority is definitely price and functionality. I'm a sucker for stocking up on sale retail merchandise over paying the "discounted" prices at the outlets for similar pieces that lack quality. I can't fathom paying a ridiculous amount of money on work out clothes just for style or brand name....but I have yet to try it. I'm sure the expensive stuff is worth every penny.

  158. I personally use price as the biggest deciding factor. Although I find a lot of really nice stuff that I'd love to own, I just can't justify spending over $40 or $50 on a shirt, no matter how wonderful it is!!! (or how painful it is to walk away from it!)

  159. I really like the armwarmers (the pink ones!!). I would love to try some but can't justify the pricetag...have to try your sock idea...sounds like a winner!! :)

  161. My running apparel priorities are performance and price.

I tend to stick with brands I know I like when ordering online, but in-store - anything goes.

  164. My top priority for clothes is comfort. Also price, since I can't spent what I don't have.

  165. Tree of life and OMG, the arrow of paradise, can't stop laughing!

  166. Thanks for the giveaway opportunity. Cute shirt! Priority for me when shopping for running gear is the way the fits. I like my shirts to be a little loose—I don't like to feel constrained at all—but being on the petite side, the shirts are usually too long on me (unless I get the ones that are form fitting). The more expensive gear fits much better, but cost is prohibitive.

  167. I am a budget shopper!! I refuse to spend a ton of $$ on running - it basically is a free sport!

that being said, I LOVE Chakra Hoodie - but whoa! did you see the price tag?!?

  169. Ultimately price is the determining factor for me, but I won't buy something if it doesn't look good either.

  171. Ooh...I like the Maori Swirl Sun Tee and the Flower Clouds Sun Tee. I think they'd make me look like I have abs. I couldn't possibly make myself pay full price for these shirts, though.

  172. "Value" is probably what I seek most in running wear. It's a combination of price, performance, comfort, cuteness, durability--like Athleta on a mega sale, but usually C9 or the sale rack at Dick's Sporting Goods.

  173. Their stuff is cute and pretty, but way too $$$. Sort of lost interest after the first two clicks of the mouse. I'm very middle of the pack, don't give a shit about what I look like much when I'm running/swimming/biking/gymming (remember that "How I Met Your Mother" episode when they all join the gym and Robin always looks a mess? That's me. Especially the hair. Always a mess after 5 minutes. Anyway, I digress). So I just like to be comfortable, and usually the Champion brand at Target does the trick, often for under $20. When I spend a little more, it tends to be Nike, or occasionally UnderArmor. But if the gear makes my boobs look a little bigger (like, say, an A cup) or my rear end a little smaller, it's a bonus. Now, all this being said, I'd love to win this. I especially like the stuff you have on in the picture with your bike.

  175. Fabric is definitely the most important aspect of my running or cycling purchases. I don't mind spending a little bit more money for a good quality jersey or running gear.

  178. Number one priority when looking for tops is a pocket for energy gels or sports beans, sometimes tissue/papertowel.
