Deleteso...looking at the size of these packets.... those things are huge! I can't imagine wanting to have them banging on me in a marathon. The soreness wouldn't be from running, it would be from bruising by the packets. Headline will reading "Runner sustained multiple contusions from gel packets" or maybe a film "When Nutrition Fights Back"

ReplyDeleteI, too, had an absolutely AWFUL 16 mile run yesterday (and it was an indoor run since wind chills were -20, so that made it even worse). I was tired by mile 5, my feet hurt, my podcasts were all boring, my music was just irritating, and all the other people on track were constantly in my way. Definitely a crappy run, and I hated every minute of it. Amazed that I didn't quit early, but I've adopted your mantra- so I just shut up!! (OK- I did whine to my hubby a little in a text. He told me to suck it up, buttercup.) I am just so happy to hear that even uber-runners like you have craptastic runs! Yay! I'm not the only sucky one!!
