Party Time and a Sweet Giveaway You Do NOT Want to Miss

Last night we had Ken’s office Christmas party.

Eyes up here Walker Texas Ranger/Chuck Norris!

"Hey there's a booger in your beard"

Which one of these is a lie about what happened last night?

  • I got hypnotized
  • I got stuck in the bathroom stall
  • I wore underwear

(answer at the bottom*)

So…the holiday season is clearly upon us. I don’t know what to buy anyone anymore.

Everyone I know (well, most people) are almost 50 or over 50 and they have everything or they say they don’t want anything except world peace or some bullshit like that.  Okay, it’s not bullshit, it is a legitimate wish, but I don't want that answer when I ask what someone wants.

The thing is, gifts are supposed to be personal and thoughtful, right? So giving something like a gift card is basically like saying, “I don’t really know you at all so here is some money in the form of a card. Go shopping like you do all the time at the same place you go all the time. ” Don’t get me wrong. I actually LOVE a gift card because it feels like a treat, but you know what I mean. So, if you were going to send me a gift card, you still can!

I’m annoyed because I don't feel any of my gifts this year are very personal, funny or creative. I did get my nephew a fart machine, so that’s the best gift I have to offer (if you haven’t used a fart machine before you have not fully lived).

All of this to say, I have two gift ideas for you. Running related of course. Not only that, but I am giving away one of each of these.

1.  The “Live Fearlessly” bracelet from Momentum Jewelry. I adore this thing. It is a soft wrap bracelet with one of my favorite mantras. I simply like looking down and seeing this on my wrist. It makes me happy and it reminds me to be brave. There is a lot of other cool stuff on this site as well. MSRP: $18.99.

Don't mind my wrinkly wrist. I am part elephant.

2. The Timex Ironman Run x20 GPS Watch. In the day and age when all electronics have gotten so super fancy that they have become confusing, this watch gives you just the basics. Speed, pace, calories and distance.  This attractive and light weight watch (I love the lime, but it also comes in charcoal, bright blue and magenta) is perfect for the beginning runner or the runner who just wants the basics ma’am and an attractive price tag.  MSRP: $56.00 on Amazon.

I never miss a chance to have Heidi in a shot. My battery is dead. Clearly.

So, there you have it. Short and sweet. Want to win both? Enter below. US addresses only. Giveaway ends on 12/15, just in time to get it to you for Christmas! Or late for Hanukah! Or early for Martin Luther King Day! (scroll through with arrow to jump from one item giveaway to the next).

a Rafflecopter giveaway

SUAR

*I got stuck in a bathroom stall = lie

I was sent these two items for review and the giveaway. All opinions are my own.

  3. Ohh I'd definitely share. My husband needs a new GPS watch and my mom would adore that bracelet!

    ReplyDelete
  4. I love giving surprise gifts, I know it's traditional to give on birthdays, holidays, etc. But if I have a good idea, I usually can't wait and love surprising people just because.

    ReplyDelete
  5. I love giving unique gifts from etsy.

    ReplyDelete
  6. If I won I'd do a happy dance and then take the watch out for a run!

  14. I feel like I would wear that bracelet and never take it off! I really like to give away artwork that I've made specifically for that person. Or chocolate...

    ReplyDelete
  15. I like to give Bourbon!! You rule Beth!!

    ReplyDelete
  16. I like to give experiences - concert tickets, nice dinners out, etc. stuff that people wouldn't normally splurge for themselves!

    ReplyDelete
  17. I would definitely give the bracelet to my hiker friend :)

    ReplyDelete
  18. For all my over 50 friends (who also have everything they could ever want or need) I give a donation in their name to some appropriate charity. Food for the Hungry is my personal favorite. I "gave" a pig for my brother-in-law. Subtle, eh?

    ReplyDelete
  19. i would give the bracelet to a friend and keep the watch!

    ReplyDelete
  20. i like to give my homemade granola :) everyone loves it!

    ReplyDelete
  21. Canadian, so no entry :( But wanted to say I received a bracelet like that with the words 'Just Breathe' on it...not a big bracelet fan, so I had The Husband remove the cord and attach the metal tag onto my shoelace before I travelled to Scotland with my mom (a constant reminder to enjoy every moment I had with her on our holiday). It's still on my shoe...love it (and so do others who see it)!!

    ReplyDelete
    Replies
    1. That is awesome. Momentum jewelry also sells the metal tags to go on shoe laces...they sent me one that says "shut up legs" love it.

  22. I love the color of that watch!

    ReplyDelete
  23. Both the bracelet and watch would be immensely helpful in training for my first marathon. I'm running Grandma's marathon in June and training officially starts mid-February. I'm excited and nervous, of course!

    ReplyDelete
  24. I'd love to "give" these to myself. ;-)

    ReplyDelete
  25. I love giving gifts that I have made specifically for the recipient!

    ReplyDelete
  26. I have actually never run with a watch (9 years later) I usually use apps on my phone, which most of the time are fine, except for the giant bruises I get from the armband. Either way I love the simple gifts that are far more thoughtful ...

    ReplyDelete
  27. Great items! I will use the watch daily and the bracelet every minute.
    Martha A. Crunkleton

    ReplyDelete
  28. I would wear the bracelet every day!
I like to give artwork or other personalized gifts from etsy. Also pictures of my children because grandparents love that stuff.

    ReplyDelete
  29. I Would wear the items. I have never tried a watch before and the bracelet would be for much needed inspiration.

    ReplyDelete
  30. When I don't know what to give someone ( who has everything) I donate to a worthy cause in their name. If I can find out their preferences even better.

    ReplyDelete
  31. That's all I want my watch to do. Show me my time, distance and current pace!! I love to give thoughtful gifts.

    ReplyDelete
  32. Favorite gift to give is food. These are both awesome! Tammy B

    ReplyDelete
  33. I like to bake and give away baked goods. My watch wristband recently broke so I'm in the market for a new one and like simple watches.

    ReplyDelete
  34. If I won, I would definitely use the watch on my daily runs. I love the Timex brand. It's dependable and their products last forever! I would wear the bracelet to work--reminding me to get through the day and get to my happy place---running!

    ReplyDelete
  35. I definitely need a GPS watch--I'm tired of using my phone and worrying that I'm going to drop it. Also I'm ditching my cell phone in the New Year and therefore my running app--so that watch would go with me on every single run!

    ReplyDelete
  36. Oh, and I love to give books as gifts. I'm boring like that. Books or tea/coffee and a funny mug.

    ReplyDelete
  37. My favorite gift to give is food. :) Baking up something totally not good for you but delish! Annnnd I have wanted one of these Momentum bracelets and dropped hints to my husband.. but still don't have one!

    ReplyDelete
  38. I'm greedy - for me! I still wear the BIG Garmin 205.

    ReplyDelete
  39. I love the bracelet! Although working with high school students they may take that too literally, but I'll take the chance!

    ReplyDelete
  40. I love to give handmade gifts - knitted hat or photo collage, etc.

    ReplyDelete
  41. If I won (which I never, ever do, btw) I would totally wear them both. I need a new watch for my upcoming 2016 season, which will involve more half marathons and triathlons. And the bracelet is rad. I'd just wear that every day.

    ReplyDelete
  42. "What would you do with these items if you won?"
I would use them! My Garmin is a little bloated for "just" running, and I would love wearing the wrap to the office. :)

    ReplyDelete
  43. >What is your favorite type of gift to give?
Whatever makes the recipient light up. It's my favorite part of Christmas.

    ReplyDelete
  44. I like to give experiences (which then become memories!) as gifts. My daughter and her fiance don't get to spend a lot of time together because of their work schedules. This year, they are getting gift certificates to breweries for beer tasting.

If I won, I'd keep the bracelet for myself since I just ran my FIRST marathon! Then, when the time is right, I'd pass it on to someone else getting ready for their first marathon. I had a supportive team helping me train and run my marathon. Now it's time for me to pay it forward. I'd give the watch to a new runner and help them incorporate it sensibly into their training.

Oh ... and this year, I'm making limoncello with a recipe from a friend in Italy. I have to say .... I may keep it all for myself!

    ReplyDelete
  45. What would I do with the items? Keep them!

    ReplyDelete
  46. Both would be Christmas presents to me :)

    ReplyDelete
  47. I know its the season of giving but I want these so much, I would just have to keep them.

    ReplyDelete
  48. I would totally give that watch to my hubby and I would keep that super cute bracelet!

    ReplyDelete
  49. My favorite type of gift to give is anything train related to my little 3 year old. He is so into thomas that he just gets the biggest smile whenever he gets thomas stuff.

    ReplyDelete
  50. I love your dress and the phrase "live fearlessly" - i may steal it.

    ReplyDelete
  51. I would totally keep both gifts for myself. :) My birthday is Christmas Day so I need extra presents.

    ReplyDelete
  52. I would totally share - my sis could get some good use out of the watch!!

    ReplyDelete
  53. I would totally share these. My sister is just getting into running and I think she'd love the watch!

    ReplyDelete
  54. I'd give the bracelet to my BRF PJR!!:D and keep the watch!!

    ReplyDelete
  55. My favorite type of gift to give is one that I know they desperately want!!

    ReplyDelete
  56. If I won, I would selfishly keep them both for myself. I like to give homemade gifts, but who has time for that?!

    ReplyDelete
  57. I'm totally selfish and would keep both. I'm injured, so I could really use the boost from the bracelet, and I've been thinking about getting some type of running watch for a while once I can do more than crutch around.

    ReplyDelete
  58. Favorite type of gift: ones for kids, because then I can guilt them into letting me play with their gift. This year's awesome kid gift? Laser Maze! I am totally begging to play with it.

    ReplyDelete
  59. I love giving simple, thoughtful and personal gifts...
    and homemade cookies
    :)

    ReplyDelete
  60. I need a new GPS watch and this one looks simple! I actually love giving homemade gifts but often never find the time to make them. I'm attempting to make initial letter mugs this weekend. Wish me luck!

    ReplyDelete
  61. I need a new GPS badly. I'm tired of lugging my phone with me every run.

    ReplyDelete
  62. I would go for a run and not have to use gmaps pedometer to check my mileage after, yippee!!!

    ReplyDelete
  63. I would love that GPS watch. I didn't know Timex had gotten into the game! Where have I been?!

    ReplyDelete
  64. My favorite gift to give is anything that my recipient is truly excited about, it is the best feeling :)

    ReplyDelete
  65. My favorite gift to give is something they are excited about and something I am excited about. Like a new pair of trail running shoes!

    ReplyDelete
  66. I am in need of a new watch. I was a Bia backer and literally within days of their going out of business my watch died. So I had a watch for less than a year (that I liked for the short time it worked correctly), and was left with no recourse when the company folded. Not a good experience. So I would love to win this! And the bracelet would be perfect for my best friend (if I could part with it!).

    ReplyDelete
  67. My favorite gift is to give is when I can nail the one thing that person likes and never expects. Last year I got my husband a treadmill, and it would have been the ultimate surprise, but my loudmouth son told him ahead of time.

    ReplyDelete
  68. I could use a new watch. My Garmin is pretty old. The bracelet would be nice to wear to work, actually.

    ReplyDelete
  69. I would keep them for myself!

    ReplyDelete
  70. I love giving food items as gifts! Even slabs of meat. I once gave a buffalo roast as a gift.
And if I won this giveaway, I would use the watch for my bad self. I've been in the market for a good, basic watch forEVER and this one looks legit! I would give the bracelet to my friend who has become a badass runner of the last couple of years. :)

    ReplyDelete
  71. I'd keep them for myself of course.

    ReplyDelete
  72. My favorite type of gifts to give are thoughtful gifts. Ones where I know the receiver will love it and know I put thought into it.
I don't buy random crap for gifts :)

    ReplyDelete
  73. I've never owned a GPS watch. Am I missing out?

    ReplyDelete
  74. If I won either of these, I'd wear them. Duh.

You look amazing in your LBD!

    ReplyDelete
  75. If I won, I'd wear this bracelet for my next big race in 2016 - a half marathon on my birthday!

    ReplyDelete
  76. I love to give handwritten cards for gifts...I put a lot of thought into them and try to explain a memory from the year with the recipient that meant a lot to me.

    ReplyDelete
  77. I love to give experiences - like going to a show together or something.

    ReplyDelete
  78. I would keep the bracelet and give away the watch to a friend who doesn't have one :)

    ReplyDelete
  79. This comment has been removed by the author.

    ReplyDelete
  80. Thanks for offering the giveaway! My fingers are crossed for the watch. My favorite gifts to give are those that the recipients want but wouldn't purchase for themselves.

    ReplyDelete
  81. Thanks for offering the giveaway! If I won, I'd use the watch at my local track (my current watch is on its last legs) and give away the bracelet as a gift.

    ReplyDelete
  82. If I won, I would want to keep both, but would probably give one as a gift!

    ReplyDelete
  83. My favorite type of gift to give is something NOT on their list. I have to work harder, but it means more when I find that perfect gift that shows how much I know about them and love them.

    ReplyDelete
  84. I like to give gifts not around holidays or birthdays, but randomly... if I see something that I think a friend will love or that makes me think of someone, then I get it and give it. Is more fun when someone isn't expecting a present & they light up!

    ReplyDelete
  85. I would definitely wear the Timex watch, my Garmin is on the fritz. I would give the bracelet to my daughter, I have a Momentum wrap bracelet and love it

    ReplyDelete
  86. I enjoy giving gift cards so that the person can get what they really want. But, I admit I get excited when I find just the right gift that I know someone will get excited about!

    ReplyDelete
  87. My husband bought a fart machine to prank his co-workers on April Fool's Day. Just asked him what happened to it and he said its still in the ceiling at work.

    ReplyDelete
  88. I'd keep the bracelet but gift the watch to my daughter who is a new runner!

    ReplyDelete
  89. I love those momentum bracelets!

    ReplyDelete
  90. Thank you for the contest. I have never had a running watch it would be awesome to have one!!!

    ReplyDelete
  91. I would give the watch to my mother-in-law. I think she'd really like it and use it a lot. Id love to keep the bracelet for myself.

    ReplyDelete
  92. I love to give things that are fun, but also useful. Something that is both a need and a want Re perfect in my book. I don't always come up with things like that, though!

    ReplyDelete
  93. If that watch farted on every mile I would buy it!

    ReplyDelete
  94. I would wear the Momentum wrap proudly if I win it...and I would re-gift the watch to my friend that is just starting to get into running with a Couch to 5K program.

    ReplyDelete
  95. I love to give gifts that are personal to the recipient...but my favorite gifts are from Santa to my little boys. They know that Mom won't buy certain things, because I'm practical and won't buy it if it isn't on sale. But Santa will freely surprise them with crazy, impractical and big gifts. :)

    ReplyDelete
  96. I would keep the bracelet and give the watch to my runner friend who keeps eyeing mine ;)

    ReplyDelete
  97. I think those bracelets are so cute! I love simple watched. I have the Garmin 10 and I love it bc of that. No bells or whistles for me. Just the basics.

    ReplyDelete
  98. Cute party dress! And I really want to win the bracelet :)

    ReplyDelete
  99. Oh, and I would keep the bracelet for me :) All my favorite gifts are generally running related!

    ReplyDelete
  100. My favorite gifts to give are food and books. Love the bracelet.

    ReplyDelete
  101. I would re-gift the bracelet to a friend, but I would keep the watch. I love keeping things simple.

    ReplyDelete
  102. With these items I would motivate myself to run throughout these cold, dreary months.

    ReplyDelete
  103. I love to give gifts that the recipient doesn't know he/she wants. Like giving my brother a piece of art depicting Seattle (where he lives) or giving my mom a breadmaker (which she now uses all the time). It doesn't always happen, but when it does, it makes me so happy :)

    ReplyDelete
  104. I would keep the bracelet and register the watch to a special person just starting out with running as a motivator!

    ReplyDelete
  105. I like to give gas cards to the young drivers. For the even younger set some board game that is trending that year.

    ReplyDelete
  106. I would use these great items to help train for my 10 miler in January and the United Airlines NYC Half Marathon in March.

    ReplyDelete
  107. Super cool color for the watch. I would give it to my sister who is getting into running. She started after our Dad passed away last Nov. Now she's thinking about coaching the local girls on the run group at the school.

    ReplyDelete
  108. I would love the Timex watch, my Garmin is about 6 years old and I have to hard start it too often, and I would wear the bracelet since I don't even own a bracelet.

    ReplyDelete
  109. My 14-year-old son wants to train for a half with me. He loves my Garmin so I would love to give him this watch! My favorite gifts to give are health related :)

    ReplyDelete
  110. Love the bracelet and have been looking for something similar. I also really dig the lime green of the watch.

    ReplyDelete
  111. I would keep them both for myself. ;)

    ReplyDelete
  112. I gave my 3 nephews fart guns last year. I think it went over quite well.

    ReplyDelete
  113. I'm a bracelet junkie so I would most likely keep it myself and admire it daily.

    ReplyDelete
  114. I would pass both on to my SIL who is a relatively new runner, but the one to inspire me to run my first half. She had a rough year so I bet she'd appreciate the motivation of both wrist pieces (and i have an overpriced Garmin already). Ps. I thought of you today on my snowy run when not only did a port-o-potty appear at the most opportune time, but it was unlocked AND had TP!

    ReplyDelete
  115. Those are my favorite kinds of running jewelry!

    ReplyDelete
  116. Love the watch and bracelet, might have to keep them for myself!

    ReplyDelete
  117. I love to give gifts that are surprises, and not what they remember asking for.

    ReplyDelete
  118. I don't have a gps watch yet, id definitely keep this sweet gift for me!

    ReplyDelete
  119. The bracelet would be a great gift for my friend who struggles w motivation.

    ReplyDelete
  120. Love the bracelet! I would definitely keep that. And maybe re-gift the watch to my daughter who wants to start running!

    ReplyDelete
  121. Love that watch! I hate my Garmin. Don't even use it anymore. :( Great picture of you and Ken!

    ReplyDelete
  122. Keep them of course! That's the holiday spirit, right?

    ReplyDelete
  123. Both would be great for a Christmas gift.

    ReplyDelete
  124. I would gift the bracelet to one of my running buds, and gift the watch to myself! Merry Christmas!

    ReplyDelete
  125. I think I would be selfish and keep the bracelet for myself as a reminder that I can get through the next 8 months of nursing school (in South Dakota) and then I will be done and I can go back home to Alaska.

    ReplyDelete
  126. I'd probably give the watch to my husband (secretly, though, it's way cooler than my old clunky Garmin - which I will love until the day it dies again. Yes, I've opted repair over replace so far) I'm hoping to coax him and my kids into joining me for a March 5k. I'd love to have them as running buddies. The bracelet I'd probably keep for myself.

    ReplyDelete
  127. I think I would gift the bracelet and keep the watch!

    ReplyDelete
  128. My favorite type of gift to give is definitely books or music- so many choices!

    ReplyDelete
  129. My favorite type of gifts to give are books or board games or kids. I like to give adults homemade/unique type items.

    ReplyDelete
  130. I would wear both of them running! I like to give surprise gift the most.

    ReplyDelete
  131. I would love to rock both of these items! Especially excited about the Garmin watch, it's already on my Christmas list!

    ReplyDelete
  132. I would wear one on each wrist. Then go running with the GPS watch & distract myself with the pretty bracelet :)

    ReplyDelete
  133. My favorite type of gift to give is some homemade edible treat I've made, such as granola or nut butter.

    ReplyDelete
  134. I would keep the GPS watch as I'm training for my first ultra- which means I'd probably also keep the bracelet and wear on the other wrist for motivation :-)

    ReplyDelete
  135. I would love to win these and would wear both on my runs!

    ReplyDelete
  136. Depends on who I'm buying for- but usually booze, something funny, or something homemade/local. My least favorite thing to give is a gift card.

    ReplyDelete
  137. I would love to win these and would wear both on my runs!

    ReplyDelete
  138. I would LOVE to win both of these. It may motivate me to run on some of these dark mornings! (Also, my 10 year old son got 'fart in a can' for his birthday...his favorite present...lucky us!)
    --Cindy

    ReplyDelete
  139. I would keep the bracelet and give the watch away to a friend that just got into running...she would love it.

    ReplyDelete
  140. I would love both of these prizes!

    ReplyDelete
  141. My favorite type of gift to give is booze. All of my friends would be happy to receive it!

    ReplyDelete
  142. I would keep the bracelet because I've been stalking them for a while now. I would give the watch to a new running friend who is just getting the hang of all this crazy gear for our "free" sport.

    ReplyDelete
  143. I would rather give a gift when I see something special that I know the person will love or that they hesitate buying for themselves.

    ReplyDelete
  144. I have a girl friend that just started running 5ks that would love both of those!

    ReplyDelete
  145. I think baking/making a gift is good but for someone really close I like to plan a surprise day or weekend trip with them :-)

    ReplyDelete
  146. I would wear them both and love them if I won!

    ReplyDelete
  147. I like to give gifts with a personal touch.

    ReplyDelete
  148. I would use both as motivation! I am a treadmill runner because I hate to not know distance and pace (and I hate being away from my temperature of comfort -- and BTW, ass-icle! I laugh about that every time I think of running outside!) so I need a pace watch. :)

    ReplyDelete
  149. I'd love to give the bracelet to a friend who is going through treatment for brain cancer. Many of the messages on the bracelet are appropriate for that as well! Another friend of mine would receive the watch because she always helped us keep track of time when first started running together!

    ReplyDelete
  150. My favorite type of gift to give is an experience - less "stuff" in the world and something that is really fun for someone! I'm giving my brother tickets to a NFL game this year. :)

    ReplyDelete
  151. Love watches! And that lime color is perfect! Cool bracelet as well! Thx.

    ReplyDelete
  152. Simple gifts are my favorite, the thought over a statement.

    ReplyDelete
  153. I'm a terrible gift giver - gift cards and booze are it unless you happen to be a small child. That said, I love the watch...

Nếu bạn còn không có nổi thời gian để mua sắm một diện tích làm việc, hãy xem xét do go noi that van phong của chúng tôi, nó tận dụng tối đa diện tích cho căn phòng, một chiếc bàn gập vừa đựng đủ một chiếc laptop và vài cuốn vở, phía trên có ngăn nhỏ đựng sách. Nếu bức tường trước mặt bạn quá tẻ nhạt và buồn chán, nếu bạn là một người năng động và sáng ạo, hãy chọn cách trang trí gia cong sat, sat my thuat, gia cong inox để sở hữu một căn phòng làm việc vừa độc đáo vừa thú vị

  161. Me and my ex-husband at all times have always tried to stay friendly over again after our divorce which occurred in early Jaunary this year. So i met with this spell caster called Dr aluda on the internet after a long search. And he told me everything that i needed to do, and he also assured me that he is going to reunite us in just 48 hours later after his spell casting. So he started his work on Monday 27th January . You are not going to believe this. He is back!!! Yes, he really came back in 48 hours just as you guaranteed Sir. Now I'm fully persuaded that you are a legit and authentic spell caster and your website is the best i have ever come across. This is so mind-boggling for me. Anthony is back!!! I haven't by any means experienced something like this before. Thank you so much Dr aluda. I never expected such a result. Dream come true. Wow! You were so kind with me. “And may your kindness float back to you like ripples that float back to sea shore”. Thank you Sir for your precious help. I have never been so happy in my life like the way i am today. You are a genuine spirit. You and your work will never be forgotten for making me a fulfilled woman and reuniting me and my ex husband once again.. You are my hero..
