Expo Business

So much for taking it easy the day before the race. I think I walked 26.3 miles today. Then I will run a marathon tomorrow. That is back to back marathons so I am obviously another Dean Karnazes in the making. At least I got my shirt ready to go:

The day started off kind of rough for some of us:

Before getting into that, had to show proof of my EMZ siting from last night:

View from our room, the sun is out!

First Dunkin Donuts:

And headed to the expo:

Immediately ran into Marshall Ulrich, author of Running on Empty. We quickly talked about reading books while on the crapper. We bonded just like that over toilets. It was nice.

Runner's World stopped me at their booth and asked if they could take my picture with the magazine. You may think I"m kidding by I'm not. They really did. I had on a shut.up.and.run shirt and that's how they knew who I was. Also saw Bart Yasso and Kristin Armstrong.

Visited the guys at 110% Play Harder who I did a review for last week. They had lots of interest in their product. Very cool stuff.

Stopped by the finish line with the rest of the universe. Hope to be crossing here tomorrow without jeans on:

Tonight we're having a mellow pasta dinner at my cousin's house in Cambridge. Time to rest up. I've got butterflies which are making my stomach cramp, which an only mean one thing. Good to get it all out now, right?

What is my goal you ask? Simple. I did a formula to figure it all out:

x(y x 6) @ x(4 +8) + 8 = x

I've done two marathons. First one in 4:03 (1/09), second in 3:42 (5/10). Tomorrow's goal is to FINISH standing up. Hip stress fracture be damned. Suck it!

My longest training run was fifteen miles. My biggest mileage week was 20 miles. Let's see what I can do!!

Send me good vibes,

SUAR
