Today I am going to spoil you with how SUAR looks (yes, I like to talk in the third person) when she is done running, about to run, recovering from running or basically any other time when she is not going to work or a parent/teacher conference.
U-G-L-Y. she ain’t got no alibi (although her sweats are pretty nice):
Please do not submit these photos to US Weekly to be entered into the the “Stars! Their just like us! They look like shit when no one is around” segment. Because I am not a Star and no one cares anyway.
Oh, yeah, party in my kitchen! Hands in the air now! Midriff exposed! Booyah!
On the surface, these may look like just another pair of comfy sweats. But, look more closely. What do you see?
I will punch you in the face with my blurry fists and bald head. I said look closer!:
If you looked deeply enough you might have seen recycled fibers. That is because these sweats are Champion’s new Eco Fleece line made from 5% recycled plastic water bottle fibers. Basically, if you wear these sweats and go put that cardboard pizza box in the recycling bin, you have done your good deed for the day and can go back to bed.
In all seriousness, when you purchase an Eco-fleece item, you're helping to keep 5 million plastic bottles out of landfills.
These sweats are very cozy. They are roomy and are the perfect go-to outfit after a long, cold run. The inside is even softer than the outside. Snuggle into these babies, sit in front of some football and eat some chips. The roominess allows from some waistline expansion for sure.
I am wearing the Women’s Full Zip Hoodie Jacket in size small, color acai. This retails for $38, but Champion is having a 20% online sale right now, so that makes it about $30.40 to be exact.
I am also wearing the Women’s Open Hem Women’s Sweatpants in size small, color granite. These sell for $28.
I’ve said it before, I like Champion stuff because it is affordable, yet quality. There are tons of awesome running items out there, but who can pay $60 a shot? Champion makes stuff for the everyday athlete who wants to look good but might have to count some pennies along the way.
Want this outfit? Or course you do. It’s comfy and free. I have one to give away for ladies and one for men. The men’s version would be something like this:

I found myself in a tank top and panties post-long run this weekend. No pants=best night ever.
ReplyDeleteAlso, I follow the shit out of your blog.
ReplyDeleteyoga pants, long sleeve t-shirt and hoodie (cause I'm always cold post-run)
ReplyDeleteYoga pants, compression socks or sleeves, and t-shirt. All about comfort.
ReplyDeleteYoga pants and a t-shirt, plus my couch, all about relaxing post workout!
ReplyDeleteA huge ass tshirt! I live in them when no one but my family is looking. My kids are going to remember these great days when they are adults and be disgusted!
ReplyDeleteFollow your bloggity.
ReplyDeleteMy old USMC sweats and a tshirt. Not exactly sexy, but SOOOOO comfy.
ReplyDeletePost run?? 1st thing I do is LOSE the cloths! LoL Out of the hot shoes & socks and the constricting sports bra (free those puppies!) then you'll likely find me on the couch, fan on full blast in a baggy tee & undies . We fat girls tend to sweat in places I didn't even know I had glands!

ReplyDeleteI liked champion. Not sure why I never did before...half my workout wardrobe is champion. Target sells it, so I end up buying more if I've forgotten something impotant like pants when I gotta gym it up

ReplyDeleteBest post-workout outfit? PJs.
ReplyDeleteI follow you.
ReplyDeleteUnfortunately, I always seem to have to go some place (usually work or church) post-run and have to put on dress clothes (yuck!). My ideal outfit is an old race shirt, Nike tempo shorts or yoga pants, and compression socks.
ReplyDeleteMy post-run outfit usually consists of me staying in my running clothes until I shower. Now that I'm getting into Compression Clothes for recovery, a must are compression shorts and socks, along with my favorite sweats--oh and boyshort underwear.

ReplyDeleteI would love to say I wear something nearly as awesome as a unitard, but honestly, the giveaway is exactly what I put on, or the likes of it. Comfort and stretchiness (is that a word?)
ReplyDeleteI already follow your blog. Frikkin love it.
ReplyDeleteOh, and I liked Champion. Didn't even think to look for them on facebook…
ReplyDeletecompression calf sleeves, sweats and a really loose tee
ReplyDeleteI like to wear another workout outfit after I've worked out - great for running errands or napping!
ReplyDeleteI usually end up in an outfit that looks exactly like the one you're wearing! I go for comfort after a long run, and when I get home from work, and when I get up, and...well yeah, I pretty much always go for comfort...

ReplyDeleteAfter my long runs, my favorite is to put on my Zoot recovery tights and a comfy long sleeved shirt. I also love these soft yoga pants I have for lounging. BUT, those sweat pants look super comfy!
ReplyDeleteA fleece out fit not unlike yours, but my pants have a bunch of holes (hint: I could use new duds). I rationalize that it is for stretching.
ReplyDeleteI also follow your blog!
ReplyDeletePost run usually is cotton shorts (commando - because you need to know things like this) and a cotton tank top.
ReplyDeleteI follow, I follow!

ReplyDeleteI am a jeans and tshirt kind of girl. After my post-long-run shower I put on my favorite pair of Joe's Jeans and one of my cheap Target tshirts.
ReplyDeleteI subscribed to your blog!
ReplyDeletesometimes post-long-run I get home and my young kids "need" me immediately, and it ends up being hours before I even shower. Meaning post-long-run I'm still wearing my long run clothes. It smells nice in my house! My favorite thing to wear, at that point, is anything that doesn't smell so bad I want to run away from myself. Like comfy sweats or yoga pants.
ReplyDeleteI liked Champion on Facebook.

ReplyDeleteSo, if I tell you that my post long-run outfit is a thong and pasties will that mean I will qualify for the female giveaway, or can I still be in the running for the male giveaway?
ReplyDeleteJust because that is what I wear under it all doesn't mean I don't like to look like a man to everyone else. :)
Flannel jammie pants and a baggy shirt, but can't forget the ever fashionable compression calf sleeves. They go so well with jammie pants.

ReplyDeleteSo I'm your one reader who runs but not long. I'm a 10k-er 4 days a week instead, so anyway, after i run "regular", I go home, shower and put on real people clothes for my busy trip to town, hanging out at the bookstore or shopping in Walmart while i wait for my youngest to get outta preschool. Oh, but if I had some cute, comfy Champion sweats, I'd wear them. Heck, even the slippers could be worn in walmart, right?! ;-)

ReplyDeletePost run? I wear my grody, soggy running uniform as long as possible. If I put something else on, I feel like I am getting a whole 'nother set of clothes dirty. Although, I can only wallow in my own filth for so long before I start to gross myself out.
ReplyDeletePost run I like loose pants and a tshirt and some flip flops. Free the feet!
ReplyDeleteI follow your blog.
ReplyDeleteIn the summer, cotton shorts and t-shirt. In the winter, same when I get out of the shower(I'm always hot for a while after I run, no matter how cold it is outside), then add a hoodie after I cool down. Commando, either way. Just too hot. Love the feel(and price)of cotton, but could see myself falling for Eco-Fleece :-)
ReplyDeleteAdidas tear away pants and my old high school soccer sweatshirt. Nothing better.

ReplyDeleteOh, and I just followed your blog. I'd been reading it for so long I thought I already had, but apparently not. Really kind of superfluous for me since I see the new content in my Reader, but I know it helps your metrics :-) And I also click through to your page when there's new content even though I could read it in my reader; for the same reason) Prettier on your page anyway.
ReplyDeleteCompression socks, ridiculously baggy non-yoga style lululemon pants, hoodie, long sleeve t-shirt. Maybe a nap. Definitely contacts out and wearing glasses. The couch is usually close by, too. Oh, and something to eat. And some water.
ReplyDeleteI follow you. So closely I can see the skid marks.
ReplyDeleteI liked Champion on Facebook.
ReplyDeleteI prefer to be naked after a long run. :)
ReplyDeleteI liked champion on facebook. Go me.
ReplyDeleteI prefer to remain in my sweaty smelly workout clothes post run. That way, if anyone happens to drop ny the house, I have proof that I am a stud. After finally showering...yoga pants and a tank (with a buikt in bra!) are comfort heaven :)
ReplyDeleteAaaand, liked Champion on FB. Done.
