Dr. Oz Would Be Proud

I’ll tell you ten things I loved about today:

  1. Your insightful, candid and forthcoming comments on my last post. You guys continue to amaze me everyday with your honesty and support. I am fascinated by the influence our mothers have on how we view food. And, I am sorry that some of you continue to struggle.
  2. I took a  nice dump this morning. The shape of a C. Just like Dr. Oz said it should be. I’ll spare you the picture.
  3. No hip pain, even after 45 minutes of water running.
  4. An older lady in the locker room at the pool said, “Are you Beth? I love your blog!” She even joined the pussy posse class today. Hi to Nancy if you’re reading.
  5. When the water aerobics class started, I tried to go in the lap lane to stay out of the way. The ladies all said, “No, you can stay in here with us.” I feel I am one of the gang. No grey pubes yet, though.
  6. Emma made a Christmas stocking for Betty Sue, our guinea pig, on Grandma’s sewing machine. She stuck a candy cane in it. P1080400
  7. The Starbucks lady gave me a sample of the eggnog latte. Yum. Needed rum, though.
  8. Gene sent me this picture:gene
  9. I scored an interview with some place really cool. More info coming.
  10. A day at home to be alone and to WRITE. Coffee and dog by my side.

    Good stuff. You'll know you're in with the aerobic ladies when they ask you to sign a card for one of them (birthday, get well, etc.). So glad the hip is doing well. The countdown is on to running!

    sounds like a lovely day :)

    i have loved the sunrise on my morning run (HOT PINK!) and seeing "light snow" as the current weather at my house (even though there was none). i am also having a good hair day :)

    How does one order more than one sticker from your site? I want 6 total, but there is no way to do this . . . shall I place 6 different orders, or is there a more efficient way to do this? I don't need 6 envelopes coming my way when one should do fine. Thanks!

    1. Got my sticker in the mail! A little later than others, but Canada Post isn't nearly as efficient as USPS...

    2. Running with a friend tonight. Don't think I'll love the pouring rain, but that's Vancouver life for you.

    3. I might complain about having a 3 year old who doesn't listen, but he's still a cool little boy!

    YAY. i love that i look cute today. especially since there are cute doctors volunteering tonight. i also love, and think it's endearing, that those old ladies love you. and i'm going to email you a pic of my sticker (if i remember). because it's proudly sported on my car :)

    1. That I got my sticker yesterday (really, USPS, to Cali?!), and you included a heart post-it. That made me giggle.

    2. My hair is a life-form of its own and must be doubling the size of my head.

    3. I totally just told off a chick via email who filed a chargeback erroneously.

    4. I'm THISCLOSE to talking H into letting me buy a pair of shoes for $140.

    5. The fact that they are running shoes instead of fancy shoes makes me smile.

    I think you are going to miss your dear friends at the pool - you might need to keep a weekly pool workout in you schedule... :-) I loved the fact that I went out for 8 miles in the cold and snow this morning and I liked it! I am loving that I am off of work today and wasting every minute of it by being fairly unproductive (although I did run!), messing around doing lots but really nothing!

    Hey Great Day! No hip pain?! - you're on the mend.
    Glad the posse let you join, now the fun starts.

    I used to have a guinea pig. I called him/her??? "Guinea". I was such a creative kid. I would lay on my stomach and put the g.p up my shirt so he/she (never knew what it was) would scratch my back. The draw back was that you can't train G.P's to NOT poop unless they are in their cage.

    Congrats on joining the group....that is big news. Bigger than the no hip pain I think because you have just become selected to an exclusive group....you down with the TPP....yeah you know.

    I loved that today was my birthday and I got taken to dinner by a group of awesome friends. And even though my foot has been hurting lately, I still managed to get in several miles of walking today if not the running I had intended.

    Guess what? I ran into my Thursday run partner at Target... that pain she's been having... fractured pelvic bone. UGH... She has entered your world... however, she's a newer runner, and I'd bet my left breast that there's no way she'd run in a pool!!!!!
