Champion Let Down

I was happy to find a $14.99 white Champion running tank at Target yesterday. I am always in need of white tanks due to the frequent soiling of the underarm area which turns a putrid shade of yellow.

I like the tanks with the built-in bras. I find that support is enough for these small girls I call my boobs.

I got home and tried it on and thought…really? Seriously? WTF? WTH?  What’s wrong with this picture (besides the book)?

What you are seeing is through BOTH the tank and the built in bra. You didn’t think I’d show my nipples, did you? No, I don’t want to add another sport’s bra under this, so I’ll be taking it back.

Who knows what book this is?

Ever been let down by a piece of running clothing?

  1. Lol…it took me forever to find the right combo of bras to wear that could adequately and appropriately tame my beasts. I was let down time and time again by so many promising a "bounceless" and "supportive" experience. It is hard to find good equipment.

  2. Yikes, that is one see-through white tank!!!

  3. Yes. The "pantie" part under my leopard print running skirt keeps riding up into my crack. I guess I should work the gluts more in preparation for the inevitable peep show.

  5. Ooooh, the white tank....I too was a victim of the white tank. Only I found out why NOT to wear the white tank a little too late. I bought a cute nike tank w/built in bra and thought, it's got a built in bra...I'm good to go. Until cars starting honking at me on my run. Little did I know sweat and white tight tops don't mix. I've never worn it again.

  6. I had a major wardrobe malfunction two days ago with a new pair of Nike Tempo shorts! They are white and orange pin striped with deep purple around the edges. I ran eight miles in 72 degrees and I was soaked in sweat. I got home and looked in the mirror and noticed the shorts were completely see through, the built in panty was white so it didn't really help the situation! I guess I won't be wearing them when I plan on getting sweaty, which is pretty much all the time! P.S. I don't like adding bras with tops that have built in bras either.

  7. You say "see through" like it's a bad thing.

  8. There's a book????? You could blur out the face and we wouldn't know who it is.

  9. Hmmm...yeah...makes you wonder if they ever test these things before putting them in the stores!

  10. I have not one but two Under Armour tanks that I got and I was super excited about. They are both majorly see through. At least you noticed before you wore them outside the house. I got a lot of looks at a race last year and later found out they were all looking at my pink half dollars. At least it was only a 5k and I was out of there fast. Not sure if I'm repeating that race this year. "Oh, you were the chick with her nipples showing last year!"

  11. I always tape my nipplies (band aids) in the white tanks, and add another bra. I have never found a white tank I could wear as is.

  12. Oh yeah. I never do white or light pink. Hi! Look at me! I'm a running white t-shirt contest!

"Let Down" took me straight back to the running during breast feeding days. Pump & Dump!

  13. Is that Ultramarathon Man? Because, yeah, if you can tell what book it is through the tank top, that fabric is way too thin.

  14. Yikes, good thing you noticed before going outside like that!

  15. LOL! Hilarious post like always :)

I'm let down by pretty much every tank with a built in bras except Nike and Lululemon.

God knows I love Target, but the sports bras do not work for my D-cups!

  16. I didn't realize how close you and Dean were! I have one white running tank but haven't worn it in years..they are risky.

  21. I am satisfied with what I have ll worn in the pat. Te only thing that bothers me yellow sweat marks I leave in whatever color of clothes I wear. Thank God I now found a god sop that can deal with it without slicing lemons and whatnot.

  22. Ok it is absurd that they'd even sell a top this see-through. I do have their tights, though, and I like them ok.
I bought a Nike sports bra once and the bottom elastic was so tight I actually couldn't breath, yet the girls still bounced! So pointless! I sold it on Ebay :)

  23. Oooooh, FAIL Champion, a rare fail.

Have I ever been let down? Yes. I finally got a running skirt and, suffice it to say, it does some unfortunate things. Front to back wedgie that become uncomfortable fairly quickly. Just too short in the rise. Not sure who that was made for.

  25. No, every piece of running clothing I have ever bought has been perfect and worked exactly as described... hahahahahaha!!! Yeah - truth is, it's the exception when I find something that DOES work as it's supposed to. Cute book-boobs, by the way! That's a good look!

  26. Didn't you learn this from another white tank? LOL!

  27. Castelli jerseys. What size chart do they adhere to? I got XL and they're still too small (I wear an 8 to 10). YoikeS!

  29. Honestly? My wonderful Athleta leggings reflective decal is chipping away....i've only washed them twice (inside out). I'm probably going to send them in to exchange. Hopefully, the new pair won't rub off so quickly!

  30. I've managed to "do crack" in a pair of athleta running capris w/ skirt attached. I look so stinking cute in them that I try to run in them every so often, even though they skooch down every 5 seconds and I have to pull them up repeatedly. The last time I wore them, on a group run no less, I thought I'd try to run as far as possible w/out hoisting them up--thinking they'd "settle" on my low hips. Uh, no. I managed to moon about 3 people behind me, and believe me, while I think I look cute in the capris, my winter white ass is NOT so cute.
I have never, ever found a sports bra I like. It's like trying to find the perfect pair of jeans, or the perfect pen, or the perfect hair style--once in a lifetime!

  31. I wore a white tank once with a built in bra, and my sons looked at me and asked me if I was smuggling raisins! I ALWAYS wear tanks (and swimsuits)with a pattern now...and especially love the Athleta yellowman "tattoo" tank tops.

  32. I once ran a race in a pair of white shorts. They were new and never subjected to my sweat (which made them see-thru). I also was a new runner and didn't know better so I gave a butt show to all behind me.

  34. If you didn't take it back already can you mail it to me so that I can have some cheesecloth? I just used my last few pieces to make almond milk and almond meal and could use some more.....thanks friend.

  35. Yes, I bought a built in bra sports tank and the thing kept riding up on me every time I ran or did anything exercise wise. I tried tucking it into my shorts, but it didn't work out so well. I'm not sure what brand the tank was, but it was made for running. I was disappointed.

  36. Oh, I posted too soon. My Nike running capris are awful. Ever heard of a camel toe? I can't wear them without shorts over.

  37. I think I've bought one of those before. I hate it when that happens!
