As seen on the front page of today’s paper:
Today I have a flash mob hangover. The excitement peaked in downtown Longmont, Colorado last night when about 60 of us “spontaneously” broke into a funky dance to the Black Eyed Pea’s “Dirty Bit.” I only had one beer beforehand to calm my flash mob nerves. I can now die a happy woman.
I am the one to the right in the *short* jean shorts and olive colored v-neck – behind the woman in the purple who happens to be my son’s Spanish teacher. Emma is beside me in the red shirt. Do not look too closely at my moves. But, at least I knew the steps.
Some people fall at 49 seconds, which is kind of funny. My son is narrating.
Ever been in a flash mob? Want to be? I was a flash mob virgin until last night.
SUAR
HOw fun!! I was expecting you to run out in the front and "flash" us or something BEth-like. I'm disappointed in you! Highly. Who is taking the video? so funny. :) Loved it! Never been in one...they wouldn't let me I'm sure...I. have. NO. Moves.
ReplyDeleteBut I can stretch my stomach skin and I really can't believe I posted a video for you.
God I needed that! Awesome :)
ReplyDeleteLOVED that! My girls have been involved in 2 FMS, the 1st last summer on the steps of City Hall, Stratford Ontario Canada - yes home town of the Biebs.

The second FM was at the Stratford Shakespeare Festival lobby - all students Gr. 4-8 of their school.

ReplyDeleteSo is it just me, or does the woman in front, with the blue tank and long black hair, look like the woman in the B.E.P. / Oprah flash mob (that I think an earlier post linked to)? Is it the same person?
That was so fun to watch! I would love to do that!
ReplyDeleteAwesome. Props to the sole dude in the middle of the mob :)

ReplyDeleteSo cool! We had one here in Eugene, OR, I wish I would have done it. You did GREAT!
ReplyDeleteI have to admit that I didn't even look for you because I couldn't take my eyes off the little cute boy in the green top. He had ALL the moves - well nearly all of them.
ReplyDeleteHow come you didn't all strip off your clothes to reveal matching outfits?? SUAR shirts, maybe?
ReplyDelete@Sue - not appropriate to give props to the dude in there. Since he's not a dude anymore. Pretty sure you turn in your man card the moment you knowingly step into that group.
Love it! Your son's commentary was hilarious! So wonderful that you did this for your daughter, she was so happy at the end!
ReplyDeleteLove it!! Wondered when this was all going to take place, you mentioned it at the blog conference :). I'm thinking you need an agent, Beth!! :)
ReplyDeleteSam's commentary nearly upstaged the action!

ReplyDeleteHa ha..awesome!
